My name is Angel Aviles, I’m a career confidence coach, a bestselling author and remarkably a beauty and lifestyle influencer!  This blog was started in 2009 and it’s a smorgasbord of refections, tips and everything you can think of. Each lunar cycle offers a unique energy, and this new moon invites us to plant seeds for the future. 🫶🏽 Embrace a ritual.Rituals dont have to be linked to specific to a belief system in order to be effective. Regardless of what your personal beliefs or faith is, you can: Find a quiet space, light a candle, and connect within. Fifty years of friendship and counting. 🌟 A few Fifty years of friendship and counting. 🌟 A few months ago, I was asked to be a relationship expert. I kind of chuckled because, to be honest, you're looking at my longest non-blood related relationship. And these kinds of relationships really matter! For those who've read my book, “Too Happy to be Sad Girl,” THIS is Annette – my partner in crime through it all: - 70s dress-up and TV-inspired games - 80s roommate (I'll leave it at that... iykyk) - 90s and early 2000s chaos of kids, schedules, and business Thank goodness for God, faith, and the pursuit of peace through truth-telling and tears. I planned to isolate, write, and heal in Tulum, but Annette's SOS changed everything. Healing alongside her reminded me that healthy relationships don't drain you – somehow, they recharge you. Instead of isolation, I chose exchange. Instead of writing, I chose play. My test retreat is days away. I'm tired but so light, confident that I am who I say I am. Life is good, and I'm savoring every bite. #friendship #healthyrelationships

If you don’t know it, do read it and you will know more about me and my imagination. This book along with another once banned classic (The Giving Tree) are always on my bookshelf.
Detachment can sound cold and hard to someone who’s used to unhealthy levels of codependency. 👈🏽 And that used to be me. These days I think of detachment not as pulling away, but as empowering myself to thrive independently while still cherishing my beloved connections. It’s about loving from a space of freedom, not necessity. 🌺If you’ve ever felt stuck in a cycle of codependency, embracing detachment can be your path to liberation. 🚀🌈 This beautiful balance between doing you and being part of a bigger picture is what feeds the soul and what many of us are striving for.
