When “it” comes, you have to be ready! What I mean is that you have to be in receiving mode.

💔 Suffering a loss, such as a death, divorce, or even a job, can cause us to lock into survival mode, which heaven knows served a purpose in my life. But wasn’t necessarily a great place to create or experience joy from.

I wrote this post in response to another issue a lot of my clients face… Losing friends and family when they become “too successful.” Or being gaslit because they’re no longer the same people they once were. 👇🏽

Rising to Shine: Why Your High Vibes and Personal Growth Can Lead to Losing Certain Connections.

It is not uncommon for certain relationships to change or even end when we experience personal growth and success. There are several reasons why this might happen:
1. Jealousy or Envy: When we experience success or personal growth, some people in our lives may feel jealous or envious. This can lead them to distance themselves from us or even become critical or unsupportive.
2. Different Priorities: As we grow and change, our priorities may shift. This can lead us to reevaluate certain relationships and determine that they no longer align with our values or goals.
3. Incompatible Lifestyles: Similarly, as we grow and change, our lifestyles may also shift. This can make certain relationships feel incompatible or no longer fulfilling.
4. Fear of Change: Some people may be resistant to change and may not be supportive of our growth or success. They may feel threatened by our changes or uncomfortable with the new dynamics of the relationship.

While it can really hurt to lose relationships when we are doing well, it’s important to remember that growth and change are natural parts of life. Pray, meditate, and stay grounded so that you can release with love and move on. It is also important to surround ourselves with people who support and encourage our growth, rather than holding us back. Ultimately, by staying true to ourselves and our values, we can attract and cultivate relationships that align with our personal and professional goals. Keep rising and KEEP SHINING! So this is me. No filter. Im going to keep it real. Aging in our society is rough. Living a public life, can also be rough. Needless to say, aging publicly, is a f*king beast. Sooo, my best beauty advice is this….

Find your peace. There will be days that all your self care and healthy habits are on just right. But on all the other days. There is grace. There is empathy, forgiveness and love. All of which I learned to practice, like yoga or a favorite sport.

I’ve debated filling in the lines between my eyes or on my forehead but so far, I’m at peace with letting them be.

Accepting my lines doesn’t make me better than someone who cannot; it makes me, ME in 2023. The beauty of finding my peace is that unless asked, I keep out of the business of how others find theirs.

Today I read that the GORGEOUS @karolg was photoshopped for the cover of GQ and that she called them out. We all know that the beauty industrial complex creates unhealthy and unrealistic standards but somehow we still fall into the machine. At least I do. I let myself be convinced that i need to be “younger,” or “thinner here, but fatter there…” I have chased the illusion of perfection only to end up exhausted and disappointed with the real me.

It’s hard to know that you’re enough when daily messages flood your feed to convince you otherwise. So do what you must to feel beautiful from the inside out. Because trust me, there’s some scary stuff going on! And the world needs us present and not obsessing over our rolls, wrinkles, sags or scars!!

He’s the most stubborn, generous, corny, hilarious, thoughtful, clueless, pushy, old fashioned, innovative, creative, uber analytical, human I know.

And I can’t help but adore every, enigmatic, inch of him.

Before we met, I had no idea what he’d look like, where he’d be from, or how we’d meet. I only knew how I’d feel when we were together. Our life is good. It’s not chock full of Instagramable moments, but it’s full of intimate conversations, random connections with the beautiful people we’re blessed to know, and the freedom to let each other breathe, rest, dream and grow.

We had the pleasure of witnessing a gorgeous double rainbow while visiting friends in Sonoma. Seeing double rainbows is a sign of abundance and prosperity.

This post is a reminder that abundance is so much more than money. It’s health, it’s love, it’s freedom of expression. It’s the presence of mind to recognize blessings, and the ability to allow bliss to flow.

Rainbows remind me that I ALWAYS have more than what I need, and encourage me to share my gifts with others.

📸 3,7 & 8 Meet Bill. The most chill Chihuahua you will ever meet… except for snack time. When food is involved, Bill shows out. And I think it should be noted that I’m not the biggest sucker in the room when it comes to Bill. The lover was putty in Bills paws.

📸 4 Met and hung with new friends who were young enough to be our kids. 🫶🏽 First Friday at the @oaklandmuseumca is 🔥

He’s the most stubborn, generous, corny, hilarious, thoughtful, clueless, pushy, old fashioned, innovative, creative, uber analytical, human I know.

And I can’t help but adore every, enigmatic, inch of him.

Before we met, I had no idea what he’d look like, where he’d be from, or how we’d meet. I only knew how I’d feel when we were together. Our life is good. It’s not chock full of Instagramable moments, but it’s full of intimate conversations, random connections with the beautiful people we’re blessed to know, and the freedom to let each other breathe, rest, dream and grow.

We are the gold at the end of one another’s rainbow….

We had the pleasure of witnessing a gorgeous double rainbow while visiting friends in Sonoma. Seeing double rainbows is a sign of abundance and prosperity.

This post is a reminder that abundance is so much more than money. It’s health, it’s love, it’s freedom of expression. It’s the presence of mind to recognize blessings, and the ability to allow bliss to flow.

Rainbows remind me that I ALWAYS have more than what I need, and encourage me to share my gifts with others.

📸 1 & 2 are pics of me and my long time comadre @thenancymarmolejo if you love following my life, you owe a lot to her. She was one of the first people to encouraged me to put myself out here!

📸 3,7 & 8 Meet Bill. The most chill Chihuahua you will ever meet… except for snack time. When food is involved, Bill shows out. And I think it should be noted that I’m not the biggest sucker in the room when it comes to Bill. The lover was putty in Bills paws.

📸 4 Met and hung with new friends who were young enough to be our kids. 🫶🏽 First Friday at the @oaklandmuseumca is 🔥

📸 5 & 6 We pretty much wanted to eat Asian food every day and we did. The Bay Area has a great selection of Asian cuisine.

📸 7 I spent a month laughing, playing and of course taking care of business…. And I did it with MISMATCHED shoes!!! 🤣
